| Sarbedaran Movement (736-783 AH) occurred at the end of the Mongol Ilkhanate. The oppression and abuse of the Mongol rulers and the lack of a powerful central power to prevent chaos led to the formation of the Sarbedaran government in Khorasan. Due to its revolutionary and popular nature, this movement was noticed by the revolutionary currents of contemporary Iran, including the left revolutionaries. The book of Khorasan Sarbedaran Movement written by Petroshevsky and translated by Karim Keshavarz, as one of the influential research narratives about Sarbedaran, has looked at the history of this movement from the perspective of Marxist discourse and formulated and analyzed the history of Sarbedaran within the framework of its discourse. The findings of this research, using the discourse analysis method of Laclau and Mouffe, show how the left revolutionary discourse in this book tried to interpret and explain the Khorasan Sarbedaran Movement on its materialistic and class discourse and make its discourse the basis of narrative and analysis in the reading of the history of this movement. |
