Abstract:   (1824 Views)
The Shiites of the southern shores of the Persian Gulf established a cultural and civilizational heritage during the Islamic era, but during the 10th and 11th centuries (AH), the change of the conditions and the emergence of the two simultaneous streams of colonialism with new intellectual and political foundations and the tyranny of the young Ottoman rulers had an impact on their social life. These profound effects were due to the focus of the new economic and cultural vision and method of the colonial elements on the seas. Therefore, the effects of the colonialism on the coastal inhabitants of the Persian Gulf has been quantitatively and qualitatively deeper and wider. This research aims to investigate the impact of colonialism on the Shia communities of the Persian Gulf region implementing an analytical approach and using the library resources. The main question is, what was the impact of the advent of colonialism on the economic and social status of the Shiites of the southern coasts of the Persian Gulf? The existence of a conflict between the anti-tyranny doctrines of Shia and the colonial practices has caused the confrontation of these two currents and the emergence of deep effects on the economic and social life of Shias during the 10th and 11th centuries (AH).
