This research, with the advancements of color science during the flourishing era of Islamic civilization and prominent theories of this era, explains the special role of this study in the development of color theories. It points out their commonalities with Western theories, and their influence on Western studies and the development of color knowledge in Europe. The main question of this research is that how the theories of Islamic color science help the development of color knowledge in Europe and what effect did it have on western studies in the following periods? The findings of the research indicate that Islamic scientists were the first to measure colors physically and classify them according to a system, and developed theories about how colors interact with each other and how they affect the human eye. European scientists used these theories and got inspiration that led to significant progress in the field of color science in Europe.
