The role of different social classes in the ups and downs of civilization is not hidden, therefore, it is important to determine the role of different classes in these matters. This article aims to investigate the role of the poor social class in the decline of civilization from the perspective of Islamic traditions with a descriptive and analytical method. Ignorance is a lifestyle that starts from neglecting religious teachings and extends to moral deviations and identity collapse. The findings indicate that if the poor man succeeds in being among the elite of the society, he will cause the decline of civilization from the top of the social pyramid, and if he does not succeed in this important task, he will turn into a social class of mobs at the level of the common people and cause the decline of civilization from the bottom. In addition to this, the union of these two categories in civilized societies can cause the decline of civilization through the destruction of the political system and the moral system.
