The era of communication, despite its positive functions, under the dominance of the western media, especially in the last two decades, has had a noticeable impact on the culture and national and religious identity of the society. Considering the importance of audience-oriented topics, it requires a revision in the educational program, especially the history of Islamic culture and civilization. The following article seeks to answer the question that according to the extent and type of impact of the student audience from the identity crisis caused by the developments of the age of communication, the Islamic history and civilization textbook in order to meet the needs of the audience and society, what priorities should be considered in educational targeting? A cross-sectional and comparative approach to history, targeting the critique of Western civilization, strengthening religious beliefs with a functional view of Islamic propositions, prioritizing answers to doubts, connecting Iranian and Islamic identity more closely, and creating the power of analysis in the audience are the most important missions of this course. This research, while collecting library information and relying on the statistical data of past researches, deals with the needs of prioritizing the goals of this textbook in the university with a descriptive-analytical method.
